MUIS endeavours:
1. To create awareness of, and promote beliefs and practices of the Islamic faith to all Monash University students and staff.
2. To encourage its members in the understanding of their religion and to provide for their religious needs at all levels of university life.
3. To represent and support Muslim students and ensure that their rights and beliefs are upheld on campus irrespective of race, creed, colour or gender.
4. To ensure that all the teachings regarding the Islamic Faith within any faculty, department or division within the Monash University is true and correct.
5. To ensure that all food deemed “HALAL” are provided in an appropriate manner in keeping with the Islamic faith.
6. To work with Islamic societies from other universities and communities in the interest of Islam for university students to improve the availability of resources, thus fostering a sense of unity and harmony between Muslim students and also other students of other faiths.
